Jacint Verdaguer i Santaló (Verdaguer) was a Catalan poet and priest. Verdaguer is one of the great figures of modern Catalonia. It can also be found on line 5.

URGELL


 

La fi del comte d'Urgell  is an anonymous Catalan political tract written during the Catalan Civil War (1462–72) by an enemy of king John II. Largely composed of personal stories, including that of the death of James II of Urgell, whose right to the throne is championed. The decadence of the great noble families who supported Ferdinand of Antequera in the Compromise of Caspe is portrayed as a divine curse on them.

SAGRERA


 

The sagrera receives the name because in Catalonia, it receives the space that surrounded the churches and that had the consideration of sacred territory, protected of the feudal violence.

La Sagrera is a district of Barcelona. The district of La Sagrera is administratively integrated in the IX district of the city of Barcelona.
